The Ring of Sorrow and the Tower Maze Black-pearl-ring1

This Ring has the power to be under someones will and cause great sorrow to others. Though as it effects thous around it it also effects the user. Corrupting them until they fall under the same sorrow they had created.

The Ring of Sorrow locked long ago in the towers. In a maze that many had tried to traverse but had ended in failure and sorrow. The ring was eventually forgotten in it's tower. Hidden away as it was. Locked in it's box not able to cause sorrow to the world and only make decay come to the tower it's self

Though a man came to this tower. He had nothing to lose and was unaffected by the rings power. He was the single person to find it and began using it. For he was a mad man and he began to terrorize the area of Kamendal where the tower was located.

Causing fires in the wide expanse of trees, deaths by a strange sickness, and most of all for his abominations of nature. The undead to rise and friends died only to become enemies. Killing with out a mind of there own. Using the power of the ring he has caused havoc and the Queen her self has fallen under the strange illness.

If the mad man isn't stopped then all of Kamendal will fall under the power of sorrow.

The Ring of Sorrow and the Tower Maze TheCastle-1

A = Arch
B = Blocked
E = Entrance

The tower is a baron place. Only being supported by a tree that it had leaned in to. Nearly melting in to one another. The branches of the ancient tree wrap around it and go through it. Though the top floor seems relatively untouched. The stone is weathered with vines scaling it's walls. Though fire has also touched it and many of the vines are now mearly scars with black scaling across it.

The bottom floors are mostly barren except for a few bodies of dead animals. Grass pokes through the floor or marble and the only thing left was the crazily tilting marble stair case that leads up in to the very top floor. It is huge bigger then any room on the top floor and big enough to have 30 men side by side walk up it.

When that is reached it turns in to a maze. No one has survived going through it as of yet. Though when the top of the stairs is finally reached and the branches evaded there is a small ledge of which there is three exits.

Rooms
1. This room is deadly the floor so weathered that if one person steps on it they fall through. It might have been a nice place with flowers that have sense grown wild across the floors.

2. The room looks almost exactly like room one but with the small difference of there being less light and you can more easily walk across the floor with out fear of falling.

3. Once a bed room but now ransacked with only pools of water here and there.

4. This room is hard to pass through as it has a rather large branch going through it and out the roof.

5. It could be the same room as the bed room. Also with pools or water in it.

6. Yet another room but with even less light and even more chance of falling. There is even tiny cracks that can be seen in the marble.

7. A hall more or less. With armor of all kinds standing side by side down the entire thing. Though there is that strange buzzing noise that fills the air around them like angry bees but it is much much worse.

8. It looks like a marsh. Water has flooded the floor and bugs that not normally would be that size reside here. Feasting on thous that pass. Though the only indication is the murky water.

9. A dining room. With a huge table that fills the center of it. Though it has long sense been cracked in half and there is not a single chair remaining.

10. A kitchen though it has been infested with small creatures. They can be dangerous when the gang together in there desperation.

11. This is a library where there are many rows of books. There is no light in here and for that it is nearly pitch black. Some animals of some kind of made it here and they prowl through the forest of plants and books. Preying on all.

12. This room is mostly blocked by a few branches going through it.

13. Another room that the ring has effected. Making it a death trap

14. A trap room. Thous who walk in here fall victim to a deceivingly wooden floor. The wood is not actually there but an illusion that has them trapped in a pit. The illusion it puts on people is for the Rings own amusement. Making things appear there that aren't real and driving them insane. Though this room does seem to move at sometimes.

15. Perhaps the deadliest of all the rooms it is pitch black with a crazed anthro lurking here. Half panther and half man the place almost looks relatively normal for a man who thinks highly of him self The stuff placed strategecly so that it sits in it's place and doesn't move. Except for the large towering plants that block out most of it and hides it's skillful predator inside.

16. Another room that has been effected by the ring. It is almost the same room as room 14.

17. Guess who? Yup the mad man who wields the ring of sorrow hides in this room. It's the hardest room to get too because it doesn't appear to be there. Hidden but easy to spot if you smell. There is a horrid smell coming from this room. The remains of his 'food'. Though there is a small stair case leading to a sort of attic. Though it's as tiny as the room bellow it it looks out over the kingdom.

Vieo walked in to the tidy office. He quickly remedied that by pulling out several maps and laying them across the table. He pondered them for a moment. Shifting through them and tossing some on to the ground in rejection. There was maps for everything. From things that were recognizable as the castle or even the forest it's self.

A lot seemed unrecognizable. Such as a map of a castle that no one had ever seen. Something that looked like a bunch of twisting lines and some with just the tiniest scratching as if they had never quiet finished.

Vieo selected three maps. Laying one out across the table flat he placed tiny stones to hold the rolling paper in place. It was a map of all of Kamendal. Where the boarder to Alasantres was was just a black lettering "ALASANTRES".

"The sorrow started around here," he placed a finger tracing on a part of the forest that was close to the sea. Though a bit more in land, "I have found that there is a tower located there. Abandoned a long time ago." He pulled the map away with out removing the stones and they were lain perfectly on top of the map underneath. It was a closer view of Kamendal as if the rest of it had yet to be discovered. From a long ago map.

On it was the sign that a tower stood in the area Vieo had pointed out too, "So I figure we start there. Though there is a catch to the tower." He removed the map of Kamendal and the other curled up. It was much smaller then the other two had been. He stretched it out but it seemed the map had been through much.

There was large holes where fire had eaten through it and water damage. Only a few things where able to be seen, "I found a map of the place. Though it seems from the few places we see that it is a maze. After reading up on history the ring was placed in the tower and obstacles were put in the way. There isn't a record of any one making it through it or in fact on coming back out of it but it is our best bet to find the ring."

Letting go of the paper it curled again. Vieo stood straight. Wondering if any one would leave. It did seem a terrible task was ahead of them all. It was needed of him and truly he had nothing to lose. He was bound to be dead any way.

He tapped the rolled paper with one of his fingers and it made an odd crinkling noise he finally added after the silence had grown.

"Any questions?" His voice was slightly mocking as he lifted one eyebrow in a quizzical manner.

"I have a question." Eonoe said. He was sitting down calmly, near the back of the crowd, sitting. He'd agreed to come along here, because after all, people were suffering. He had to help. He felt morally obligated. These people had been hospitable to him, and they'd even given Vashner a place to stay while Eonoe was on this expedition (no way was the boy coming along. He could get hurt). "You mentioned 'obstacles,' yes?" he asked. "Exactly what sort of obstacles might we expect?"

Eonoe of course he would ask. He didn't want to kill after all. It was the reason he had gotten the others. If he had had a dragon that would kill it probably would have just been the two of them. That's not how things worked though.

"Glad you asked Eonoe," He gave a small smile, "Well he was my creator so you can expect things like me or like Mask." The dog looked up from his corner of the room as he heard his name when Vieo motioned he didn't need to do anything he lay his head back down, "But much much crazier. In intense pain and will tear at everything. Then of course the tower it's self," he smiled fully now as if enticipitating a fight now, "I've no idea. The reason for the tower was so no one would find it. There's no written record at least other then this."

His fingers tapped against the map again. "Though I guess you can expect the tower to be over run with an assortment of wild animals, bugs, that type of thing. I'm positive there will be none of his creations in the tower." He didn't add how he knew that or why exactly there wouldn't be even more in it.

Though he thought about it for a moment what exactly was he expecting? Was it wise to race off not knowing. Well obviously he had tried to find out so they wouldn't be going across the land blinded. So even if he didn't know the way through the tower or even what exactly was in it they had something.

Though he hoped his dragon would be able to melt some clock-work with out feeling remorse. The automaton's had the objective to just kill and had no human parts to speak of. They were a challenge to kill and some had even been the fire starters. No one had been able to stop them. Well they could tear a few pieces out of them but the fire always started.

Coya sat in the back--cloaked. The deep colors of the lengthy fabric that draped about her lovely shoulders seemed a shame. To cover up such an artistic body, such a lovely creature-- a crime, indeed. Even her lovely face was shadowed, only revealing what the light caught. Amber eyes, creepy and peircing, and an occasional grin. However, for now her eyes kept to her lap.

Why she was here? No reason in particular. Hah. What a joke, and she wished to kick herself for even agreeing with her inner self to allow herself to tottle after the man as if he owned her. As if he owned her?!?! A growl nearly errupted in her throat and she almost walked out. Her figured kind of balked in it's seat. It looked as if she was suppressing a sneeze, or a hiccup jarred her small figure. Leaving now would be stupid, and she could gain a few things from this experiance. Ha, like a stomach ache....or a broken heart.... Coya frowned her pretty brows.

The ominous creature in a cloak was not even concerned with the things they would encounter. She figured that the biggest hinderance would be Vieo himself. Him finding her out. Yikes. Amber eyes flicked to the door, measuring distance. She felt like sighing, but did not. HEck, she felt like doing a lot of things right now. Hearing Vieo's responce to the man, she looked up and wondered at his appearance. He looked good. Confident as always, witty, and just...like always. Swallowing, she curled her tail tighter to her thighs. Yes, yes. She had her ears and tail with her. The twin cupped ears were atop her head, folded. Not that it'd be bad if she flicked them forward, for a LOT of people here, if not all, were not people indeed. However, Vieo might wonder. After all, there were not too many foxes around anymore. Wolves? Yes. Cats? Unfortunately, yes. Foxes? Not many.

Sitting straight, she waited. Well......what now?
