NAME: Nerrak Eonoe Vaaldaren
GENDER: Male
AGE: Unknown, appears young, approx. 19-21
RACE: Shifter (Dragon, Bull, Hummingbird)
LOOKS: Tall, standing at six feet. He wears white robes, and he’s quite a pretty boy. He has long, light brown hair with piercing blue eyes. The eyes are especially potent. People find different things in them. The guilty find accusation, the hurt find sympathy, the curious find wonder, the sympathetic find pain, and the list goes on and on. If he glares at you, it’s uncomfortable to make eye contact.
As a dragon, he is about twice the size of a fully-grown bull, not including the length of his neck and tail, covered in bright gold scales, and with silvery-white claws and fangs.
His bull form is an impressive beast, tall and muscular, with a tan-blonde coloration and a large pair of horns. Ccertainly would win all of prizes at the faire.
Hummingbird form is a simple jet-green hummingbird.
In all forms, he has the same eyes and diamond. PERSONALITY:
A Mind Walker looking into his mind will find a tangled assortment that is difficult to follow. This renders him difficult to read, and Mind Control is almost completely out of the question, simply because of the state of his mind.
The first thing the Mind Walker will notice is that Eonoe is constantly in intense pain. Eonoe seems to carry all the physical pain in the world (thankfully, the Mind Walker doesn’t experience it himself, but is only aware that he feels it). However, in spite of this, he seems calm, as though he has simply grown used to the pain. Either way, it’s a brief point that is quickly forgettable, due to the other confusing nature of his personality.
It is a tangle of contradictions. A Mind Walker looking into him will find at once a vicious murderer and a gentle man who cannot bring himself to kill. A humble and vain man. A heart of stone, hardened by crimes witnessed and committed, and yet virtually no ability to cope with pain. A sense of brooding and guilt, and at the same time, no regrets. He has several of these directly contradictory personality traits.
He is a melancholy figure, mainly. Quiet and soft-spoken. He is a pacifist who refuses to kill, as he is almost always able to avoid direct confrontation by simple zipping away. Though if necessary, he can easily use magic to defend himself, typically simply knocking enemies away. He has the magical capability to kill, but simply refuses to use such ‘extreme measures.’
PAST: He was born as a dragon, named Nerrak, the son of Vaaldaren. He grew up with his brother, Andul, in a utopian society in a far-off world. Sadly, he never knew his mother… Vaaldaren and Andul didn’t like to talk about it…
He grew up privileged, as Vaaldaren was a respected public servant, and he was given a proper education, and grew up very cultured.
Most of all, he had a love for human music. It was his favorite thing in the world, and he loved to just sit and listen to it for long periods of time. He was very fond of human culture, in particular…
But for some reason that he will never discuss, he and his brother became corrupt and vicious. They convinced the other dragons that they were the most powerful and noble of all the races, and so established an empire over the humans, which Andul ruled over, and Nerrak was at his side as an enforcer. It was enough authority and power for him, and Nerrak had more interest in bloodlust than political power anyways. It suited both of them perfectly.
Nerrak begin to hate the things about human culture he had once adored (jealousy, perhaps, at his own inability to create the kind of music that they could). He killed and ate humans by the dozen (Dragons were perfectly allowed to do so.), and was subject to virtually every vice. Eventually, one young dragon named Anorin appeared, claiming to be his son. Of course, many young dragons made such claims (The claims were not too improbable. Lust was among his vices). Usually, he just ignored these dragons, but he became fond of Anorin, taking him in as an adopted son.
However, Anorin was nothing like his father. He was much more gentle and mild-mannered, much to Nerrak’s chagrin. He never had the bloodlust that his father had, but still, Nerrak was fond of the young creature.
Eventually, however, Anorin began to sympathize with the humans that the other dragons ‘ruled’ over and hunted, and joined the rebellion. Eventually, Anorin and Nerrak fought, and Nerrak killed his son. Nerrak then fled, and in a scream of pain, it seemed a spell came over him. He became Eonoe.
He was transformed into a young, beautiful human, in white robes. And he was overcome by the pain of every living being, from dragons to humans to vampires to demons, but the pain of the humans struck him most of all (granted, there were more of them, and they were more subject to pain). He left. Since then, he has been a wanderer, traveling to other worlds. His experiences and knowledge gained caused him to become one of the most powerful sorcerers in existence, though he became a pacifist, and almost never uses his powers. He found that he was unable to kill another sentient being. Hunting for prey such as deer was one thing, but he can’t kill another man. Not a human, were, or demon.
SKILLS: Mind Walker Blade Master Air Magi Light Magi Fire Magi Telekinesis
NERRAK:
Nerrak is a sort of mental apparition of Eonoe's. In his usual appearance, he looks very much like Eonoe, except for the fact that he wears a black cloak. He's a much more sly figure than Eonoe, and there's a cunning glint in his eyes. He is a fragment of Eonoe's evil past that represents that saying 'old habits die hard.' He is a master telepath and can invade and manipulate dreams, among other things.

| NAME: Vashner Vaaldaren
GENDER: Male
AGE: 16
RACE: Human
LOOKS: His face is severely disfigured. There are three cuts, as though from claws, on his right cheek, and the area around the cut seems as though rotting, with his right eye completely white and blind. His left eye is blue, just like his father's. He is not particularly tall, standing only at five feet, with black hair, and a paralyzed right leg. Because of his leg, he uses a crutch in order to walk.
PERSONALITY: He is a quiet, aloof character. He isn't particularly social, due to his disfigurements, and often reads and writes to occupy his time. He's very timid and soft-spoken, with a strong aversion to violence.
PAST: Eonoe found the boy severely wounded, presumeably from an attack, and took care of him, taking the boy with him on his travels. That's all there is to say about his past, really.
Skill: Diddly Squat.

| Subject: Cerveras - Demon Wed Mar 26, 2008 8:14 am | |
| NAME: Cerveras
RACE: Demon
AGE: 900, appears around forty in human form
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: In demon form, his body is long, black, and serpentine. His eyes are a sickly bright orange. He can elongate this body at will, depending on the situation (for example, if he wishes to constrict his prey, much like a serpent). He has two huge retractable fangs in his mouth, which are hollow, like syringes. Through these fangs, he can inject or spit venom at his victims. At his wrists, he has retractable spikes, which serve essentially the same purpose. His four appendages are all prehensile, as is his tail, and the five claws on each of these four hands resemble straight razors. His tail is several times the length of his body, long and wiry, tipped with a sort of long knife, with a blood-red spot on it. This spot is sensitive to motion, heat, and also light, and can detect ultraviolet and infrared light in addition to the regular visible light. The blade is also covered in tiny barbs, which can also inject venom.
The venom is not only toxic, but also highly corrosive, acting as acid on organic material. After killing his victim, the venom can dissolve the organs, and the soupy mixture of dissolved organs and blood can then be sucked out of the body through the fangs.
His human form is six feet tall, and dressed in a heavy black coat. He wears a black top hat, which he often keeps pulled low to hide his orange eyes. He has jet-black hair and long, bushy sideburns.
PERSONALITY: He has a sort of creepy vibe around him, enhanced by his orange eyes and serpentine form (see “PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION”). He is a sadist who enjoys two main methods: torture and torment, or manipulation. In any case, he likes to toy with people before he eats them. However, he does not pick fights with powerful people, often poofing when such problems arrive.
However, there is sort of a tormented side to him. At times (particularly in his human form), he somewhat feels a twinge of remorse, or a sort of religious fear, due to his religious background (see “HISTORY”). However, these episodes are very few and far between. Generally, he has no qualms with his demonic nature, and revels in sin.
HISTORY: He was initially a human, and he served in a large Cathedral as an altar boy. In his youth, he was generally a good person, devoutly religious, and with a desire for knowledge.
This desire for knowledge led him to study science and alchemy. This was what changed everything. One day, with alchemy, his eyes managed to see the demons that walked everywhere. He was frightened of them. He could see them stalking their prey, whispering wicked words into the ears of people. He started seeing them almost everywhere, manipulating people he held in esteem. What truly clinched it for him was when he saw, at a church service at Notre Dame in Paris, a demon, whispering into the ears of the pastor.
He fell into despair. He quit his service at the church, started living in recluse, and drank. He started to lose faith in God. He was often by himself, walking around. Demons taunted him all the time now. One day, he stopped on the bridge over a rapid river. It was springtime, when the snow had melted and the river swelled. In a drunken despair, he threw himself off of the bridge.
He would have drowned, but a powerful demon pulled him from the river. Rather than kill him or let him die and it him, the demon decided to try something more amusing. He turned the man (he did not yet call himself Cerveras) into a demon himself.
Cerveras seemed to adapt to demon life fairly quickly, once he got over the initial shock and disgust of his new diet of human flesh. His despair and sense of indignation led him to adopt a sort of bitter survivalist attitude. But eventually, he came to enjoy being a demon, as he does to this day. He found killing and eating was fun, and he grew to like the sense of power he had over humans, whispering into their ears, making them do evil things, like a puppet-master, manipulating them, and occasionally changing people to vampires.

| NAME: Jalran RACE: Human AGE: 22 GENDER: Male (emasculated) APPEARANCE: PERSONALITY: He is an angry man, a fiery man of action, and a great orator (no, he is not a soprano). He's very outspoken about the things he believes in, and he champions human rights. Some members of other races (particularly vampires and demons) don't particularly like him, due to his emphasis on human rights while not saying much on the subject of others. He is not a bigot, but at times he does begrudge the other races who often seem better off than humans, and his burning hatred of the country of Alasantres leads him to be very distrustful of vampires and demons. He's killed many, and is very good at it, especially females. Being that he's emasculated, he is completely immune to any attempts to 'charm' or seduce him, and he's able to carefully observe them and can tell immediately when a vampire or demon is trying. In his spare time, he enjoys quiet activities, such as painting and reading. HISTORY: Why does he hate Alasantres? Why is he noticeably lacking? Well, he was initially from Bella Luna, living a fairly simple middle-class life. When he was fourteen, his family went on a ship to go sailing one summer, but a storm hit, and he was forced into a lifeboat. He never saw his family again. He washed up on the shore of Alasantres, where he was quickly captured by a demon and taken into slavery. You might've guessed that shortly after enslavement, he was emasculated, so as not to cause problems. One day, he convinced the other prisoners to revolt against the demon who had kept them captive. There was a riot, and the demon who kept them captive was killed. Jalran and a handful of other prisoners managed to escape and seize a boat, though many of them were killed in the attempt, leaving Jalran the sole survivor. Jalran returned to Bella Luna and founded an organization called The Brotherhood of Man, which has its center on the well-being of the human race. The stated goal is for humans to be treated with the same respect and dignity that all people deserve, and they have a law firm for protecting human victims and a well-trained militia which takes it upon themselves to patrol and protect the human race from attackers. Jalran has also unsuccessfully petitioned the government of Bella Luna several times to go to war with Alasantres. | |
